Daily Bread APR/23/12
Written by Pastor Mark Spitsbergen

Romans 8:33-34 - Who shall lay any charge to God's elect, whom God
justifies? Who can condemn? Christ died, and even more He also arose; and
is on the right hand of God and intercedes for us.

We now live in a relationship with God through Christ Jesus in which there
is more than enough mercy and grace to teach us all that God requires. If
we sin, we have an advocate with the Father: Jesus Christ the righteous,
who supplies to us a cleansing through His blood (1 John 2:1; 1:9). There
is no reason to ever experience a moment of separation from the One who
loves us so. The one who died for us and rose again will utterly save those
who come to God by Him (Hebrews 7:25). God, who commended His love to us
when we were still enemies and alienated by wicked works, claims us for His
own; and will now freely give us all things by Jesus Christ. God is devoted
to our maturity and growth in all the ways of His righteousness and
holiness, and He will not weary nor faint in our development - so long as
we are willing to learn.

The door into His household has been opened wide to all who will come.
Through the blood of the everlasting covenant, God bids all those both far
from Him and those who are near to come on in (Ephesians 2:13-14;
Colossians 1:20; Isaiah 52:7; Romans 10:15; Luke 2:30-32). He welcomes all
to step into a fellowship with God where there is no condemnation (John
3:18; Romans 8:1). He calls everyone to be received with arms opened wide,
and find all our acceptance in the Only Begotten Son: who became a Son to
take on the form of a servant in order to bear our sins away at Calvary.
Jesus is now not only our redemption, but also our righteousness and our
sanctification (1 Corinthians 1:30). All that we have need of, we find in
Him - and He supplies it to us with an unending persistence and grace to
bring many sons to glory (Hebrews 2:10).

What man or demon spirit can condemn you or refuse you the right to live in
this glorious communion? Who can forbid you access to the Father and a
continual flow of the presence and provision of God, when it is Christ
Jesus who is your assurance and enduring acceptance? Let all condemnation
now cease. Send all accusations back to hell from whence they came, and
believe what God has said! Look unto Jesus the author and finisher of your
faith; you will find no rejection there in this lifetime, but a merciful
pleading to come and learn the ways of peace. If you will only trust Him,
you will never be ashamed. So long as there is breath in your being, Christ
Jesus is willing to save! Christ Jesus now intercedes and pleads your case
before all accusers. The Holy Spirit intercedes to help you with your
weaknesses in order to bring you to His strength. Lift up your heads, for
all of heaven now stands with you to plead your cause and establish you -
unblamable and unreprovable in His sight (Colossians 1:22; 1 Thessalonians
3:13).
